This year the gala is dedicated to the ‘Honoured Artist of Russia’, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, a man of virtuoso technique and fantastic leaps and turns, Andrei Batalov, who has been delighting audiences with his talents for a quarter of a century: www.mariinsky.ru/en/company/ballet/guest_principal/batalov

Both this hero of the day and his friends and stage partners from all over the world will appear on stage. The host for the evening will be none other than the officer of the Order of Three Stars (Latvia), Honoured Artist of Russia, ballet soloist, theatre director and producer, and artistic director and chief choreographer of the Kremlin Ballet Theatre, Andris Liepa.
