HAPPY WORLD BALLET DAY!!!
On Tuesday, October 19, World Ballet Day will be celebrated around the world, hosted by the Royal Opera of Covent Garden. World Ballet Day was launched in 2014 by six of the world's largest ballet troupes: the Australian Ballet, the Moscow Bolshoi Theatre Ballet Troupe, the Royal Ballet, the Canadian National Ballet, the San Francisco Ballet and the Royal Swedish Ballet. Every year, ballet enthusiasts from all over the world can enjoy exciting ballet-related events. This year, the Estonian National Ballet will also participate in the international program. From 11.00 to 12.00 the Rahvusooper Estonia | Facebook takes you behind the scenes of various productions of the national ballet and offers interviews with Marina Kesler and Neeme Raud, the program is hosted by Estonian National Ballet's artistic director Linnar Looris.
On World Ballet Day, dancer Alexandra Heidi Foyen will take over the Vanemuine Theatre Instagram account on behalf of the ballet troupe. Questions for artists are welcome. https://www.instagram.com/vanemuine/

An exhibition of fashion art was opened in the Estonian restaurant today, on October 18, during which nine Estonian fashion artists presented their creations on point shoes. The point shoes were decorated and designed by Lilli Jahilo, Kristina Viirpalu, Tiina Talumees, Aldo Järvsoo, Katrin Kuldma, Cärol Ott, Riina Põldroos, Ketlin Bachmann and Ülle Pohjanheimo. From October 21, the exhibition of point shoes designed by Estonian fashion will be open to everyone at the theatre Estonia audience's walking arch.
